Amazon Picks

I submitted a big Amazon order last night (yay for more checks off the Christmas list!), and wanted to share some of my finds in case it provides any inspiration for you as you make your list and check it twice.

Toy Story is all the rage at my house (we've invested so much in this franchise I'm not sure we can afford our children finding a new obsession!).  Santa is bringing the LEGO Toy Story Western Train Chase to one of my sons.  We went and saw it in person at the Lego store, and it was pretty cool.  My husband is a Lego geek and will be pumped to help them build it.

Santa is bringing my daughter a play kitchen (purchased in February at the Target sale -- yes!).  The preschool my boys go to has the most amazing play food sets.  We are going to start our collection with the Learning Resources Lunch Foods set.  It's plastic, but super duper heavy duty.  The food is solid and feels and looks real.  I'm excited.

And we are giving the boys the LeapFrog Leapster Explorer Learning Game System. We already have the Leaptster 2, and are hoping that a new system will eliminate some sharing disagreements. Fingers crossed.

Finally, I ordered The Elf on the Shelf.  This looks like such a fun tradition.  I'm excited to try it out.  Has anyone ever done it before?

Uh oh, my kids keep walking in the room as I write this.  Better publish and walk away before all my secrets are revealed!  ;)

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Haven't tried Elf on the Shelf yet, but my mom just bought it for our family, so we'll do it this year.
